MME Life Stories & Ooh La La = one lovely mini!

So here it is, Im still in love with it.. my Mom is lucky I love her as much as I do or she would NEVER see this.. lol! I am so happy with how it turned out and LOVE how the Ooh La La papers go with the Life Stories line. Perfection :)

Isn't that wooden brand just the cutest? Im not sure the brand - chatterbox maybe? Some cardboard and bling.. ahhh love!
I'm not sure if its just the paper combination or the pictures as well.. So much inking on this project, I think I inked almost everything that went onto it!
I love how these pages turned out, one boyish one for Cameron and a more girly one for Grace. I normally can't stand skulls but for some reason am loving it on here.
And the last pages with the whole family as I know for my mom it's more about the KIDS than it is about John and I. I used distress crackle paint in rock candy on the three squares on the right hand side, hard to see in the photo but adds a bit of texture to the page.

Oh and the album is from Basic Grey, I made one a few months ago with the same album for a friend of mine and just love it!

I need a scrapping breather.. lol

After spending the last few days glued to this project - and this project almost literally glued to my kitchen table I am finally done! At midnight no less! I love this mini SO much that I think I will have a hard time giving it to my mom.. As much as I love her.. I almost love this more! Figured I would post a "sneak" as I don't have the time or lighting to really take full photos right now.

Scrappy shopping rocks!

When we got our professional photos done and back I decided I would do mini's for Mother's day, one for each Gramma. So after much online browsing at projects and paper lines I had pretty much decided I would get some Lush. I took the kids today to visit my parents and my dad was nice enough to babysit while my mom and I went over to the LSS. Go figure she had some Lush but not in the blue that I wanted so I ended up checking into other options.

I thought Basic Grey would be a great choice being that I could just buy all the lovely extras that coordinate and go to town but she didn't have any origins and I wasn't sold on any of the other lines.. So more browsing and I found MME Life Stories.. I don't know why I didnt think of it before but it is perfect and my table is already covered in paper and random other things. I haven't even printed photos yet but have done the cover for my first album and am in love!

Can't help but love it when things just fall in to place like that!

Aren't they so cute? Ahhhh perfection, Im going to make some happy Gramma's this year!

Last minute scrapping - MME Challenge #9

I finished my school work at about 3 this afternoon and was killing some time before having to pick up the kids at daycare when I realized I hadn't done this month's challenge for MME. I got right down to business and even DH made fun of me when he called and asked what the weird noise was (distressing lol). Anyway this is what I came up with!

Frosty the snowman.

Ill be the first to admit this.. my photo taking skills suck right now but it's late and Im sure that if I don't get it done now I might never being that DH is at the hospital with his father and Im playing "single mom" for who knows how long.

Anyway.. this is for ScrapFIT's WO #16 as well as Scrap Your Crap.

For ScrapFIT I had to use 4 circles, multiple fonts, distressing and 2 photos.. as for Scrap your crap it was a 20/10 challenge.. so I have 20 uhh.. letters? (did I mention its late- oh god! lol) and 10 buttons. Im glad for the buttons cuz seriously I have NO winter type embellishments and this LO is looking sad enough as is.. ahh well.

Today.. I am happy

This is for ScrapFIT's workout #15 "A day in my life". I based this on sketch 94 from Creative Scrappers and used some lovely MME Ooh La La.

Journalling reads - "is just another day. Each one is different yet they all seem to be the same. Cameron is up at seven, then Grace shortly after. We have breakfast, watch some cartoons and play. Sometimes we go to playgroup or the kids go to daycare and I do school work or sometimes go to work. There are days when the kids drive me crazy and days that I love every minute of it. Most days I obsess over what I'm eating because I am scared I will get fat again. Regardless of what each day is like, I love them all and know that days like these won't last for long."

Yummy Cupcakes!

This is based off of the Sketchy Thursdays weekly sketch using my lovely LPS February kit - It's BG Sugar Rush if anyone is curious. I also played along with Aphra and the Paper Poppy Kit Co's Thrifty Thursday challenge - to alter alphas. I misted up my "birthday" letters with some homemade spray and then rubbed it for a smoother look as the ink was just sitting on them, I like how they turned out (they were pink to start).
Journalling reads "For Grace's birthday, Cameron and I made these yummy cupcakes. Cameron thought they were too girly, so he decorated one with dinosaurs for himself!"

Some MME love right here

I ordered MME Ooh La La a few weeks ago and it came in on Monday.. Well I promptly got to work and created this lovely page of my son blowing dandelions at the lake this summer. I can't get over how long the stitching took me but I am so happy with the results! This is my page for the LPS "scrap bachelor" competition this week, there are five of us left and three will be eliminated on Sunday. Fingers crossed that I get to stay for another week!
